The first recipe that comes to mind is my absolute all-time favorite. Flavored up egg salad! Yum!
My husband has a hunting buddy who makes the very best egg salad and he makes it with scrambled eggs. 🍳🤯 I had never heard of this. (Have I been living under a rock?? lol) And what a fantastic idea! So, after the Easter eggs are all used up, substitute the boiled eggs in this recipe for scrambled eggs and voilà!
Here in Louisiana, now, you know, we like a little 🌶️ KICK 🌶️ in our food! Just flavor yours to taste. And we double up on the mustard because we love a mustardy egg salad the best. 💛😋
Flavored Up Egg Salad
-
- A dozen boiled Easter eggs
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 Tablespoon yellow mustard
- 3 sweet pickles, diced
- 1 teaspoon sweet pickle juice
- Tony Chacherė Creole seasoning, to taste (We live for this stuff, here in Louisiana 😁)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Black pepper to taste
- Parsley
Peel and dice eggs. In a bowl, add all ingredients and season with Tony’s and black pepper (yes, add pepper with the Tony’s because I am extra, like that. Ha), to taste. Dress it all up a bit by sprinkling a little parsley over the top. ENJOY!
OH IT’S SO GOOD. Yum!
Now, on to the next recipe. And HOW FUN…when your recipe is also a craft project! 🎉💃🏻
Woohoo!
So, let’s get crafty in the kitchen and turn those ordinary deviled eggs into adorable Easter chicks!
Easter Chick Deviled Eggs Extraordinaire:

- A dozen boiled Easter eggs
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon inion powder
- Tony Chacherė Creole seasoning, to taste (Yes, it goes in everything! lol)
- Carrot slices (for beaks)
- Black olives, chopped (for eyes)
Cut the top third off of each egg and remove the yolk. In a bowl, mash the yolks with all of the ingredients except for the carrot slices and black olives. Mix until smooth. Spoon our pipe, the yolk mixture back into the bottom of the boiled eggs. Place a carrot slice on each egg for the beak and use The chopped black olives for the eyes. Arrange your chicks on a platter and watch them disappear!

And, of course, there’s the trusty ole cob salad. Because we need a little protein with the rabbit food. 🥗🥚
